What does it mean and how does it work?
Once your treatment is completed, we will bill your co-payment directly and handle the insurer for the covered portion.
To simplify the claims process, our office will assist you in signing the requisite forms, granting consent for claim submission. If electronically filed, we'll secure your authorization to submit claims on your behalf, ensuring a seamless process. Rest easy; a signed copy will be promptly dispatched to your insurance company.
Assignment of Benefits :
By opting for this service, we await payment from your insurance company. Your only responsibility is settling the remaining treatment cost directly with our office. Dental Plan Co-Payment
Most dental plans cover a percentage of the actual cost of the treatment. The balance, or portion not paid by the insurance plan, is called the co-payment. This is similar to the "deductible" that you are required to pay on car and house insurance.
The dentist is required by regulation to collect the co-payment from the patient. Please do not ask your dentist to waive this fee as he or she has no choice but to refuse all such requests.
